Let Me Die
Let Me Die is a short incremental game about a hero trapped in a loop, fighting a monster. Unable to win, unable to die. Unlock upgrades, complete quests, create unique builds and maybe you will find a way to break the loop.
The game is still in active development. This is only an early alpha version, with limited content.

Really cool game! I loved how the Hero gets more and more philosophical as you unlock more skills in the tree. I couldn't figure out the secret quest though :(
More as a question, is it possible to get some tracker on the side to show your current stats? That way you know which are your lowest abilities and such?
Glad to hear you liked it! Your comment about player stats gave me an epiphany. I need to add a separate tab dedicated for showing all kinds of gameplay stats, including player stats. Like total damage dealt, crits, runs done, quests completed etc.
This was pretty fun for being in its earliest stages! I could see this being a real time sink once it's fully fleshed out and everything is included! I do hope that the gameplay doesn't end once the boss is defeated and that there's more to this loop than a hero vs a great evil. I also think the regen hearts don't have any use right now, they heal I think 1.5 health or something like that if I'm not mistaken which doesn't counteract the tick rate of depletion at all, I think they should definitely supply a bit more health to be worth picking up at all. I think gold might need to be reworked slightly in terms of its value, runes should probably cost more the more of the same one you buy and maybe having the ability to upgrade runes with gold could be worthwhile depending on whether there's more than just that one 10k boss.
Overall it's definitely got me excited in the game and I'm very interested in seeing where things go from here!
Lots of great feedback, thank you!
There is absolutely a lot more to the game than just beating the current 10k health boss. A lot of other ideas are currently in the works. The numbers will be going all the way up to quadrillions.
Very good point about regen hearts. They're the least fleshed out mechanic at the moment.
Being able to upgrade runes with gold is an interesting idea. I didn't think of that! Noted it down.
I'll be following along closely to see where this game ends up going! Definitely interested in seeing how a quadrillion health boss comes into the loop and how the mechanics evolve as you get more ideas and refine some of the kinks but already it's super polished for an alpha which makes me pretty hype for the full release however long down the line! Something tells me it'll be a fun experience!
What do the gem hearts do? I thought they might replenish health, but everything moves so fast and it doesn't seem to affect my survival time, so its hard to tell.
Yeah, the heart drops replenish some health, but it's a small amount, so it's easy to miss. Once you become stronger, more hearts drop and their effects become more substantial.
So far this mechanic is not very fleshed out, it definitely needs more work.
For something in its alpha stages, this is really good. I had a great time playing it and am genuinely invested in the story - plus the art is incredible. Great game overall! keep up the good work :D
Really appreciate the kind words! I hope to flesh out the story much more in the full game.
(already said in galaxy.click oversight, sending here in case you didnt see it) localization seems broken and almost all text that shows for me are “delete character” in chinese
EDIT: fixed!
Oh. Thanks so much for letting me know. If you'll have the chance, could you double check if it works now?
Hmm, please add either a way to moove with the mouse OR a way to choose upgrade/leave skill tree with keyboard, it's kinda weird to have to use both hands for a game that require legit juste mooving right and left.
I was actually thinking about this. To add an option to move the character with the mouse. I'll definitely test it out and see what it feels like.
Ended up implementing this. In game settings there's now a new option "Mouse only", which allows to play full game with mouse only.
uhh... i cant seem to do anything? nvm figured it out might wanna put a bit of a tutorial/info that you actually need to move around with wasd
Thank you, that's a very good point! Fixed it
